A great day trip out to Liverpool. A short coach ride took us to our first venue of ArCains. 3 floors full of game for us play. From Pac-Man to dance games, there was something for everyone. Each floor had a different theme with the more serious gamers heading straight for the top floor. Not too busy, there were plenty of games for everyone to play. After a couple of hours here, we headed into Liverpool City Centre for a few hours free time. Some went shopping, some went sight seeing and some went out for something to tea. Once we regrouped later on, it was lovely to hear what everyone had done with their time. Our final aspect of the day was a trip to Quirky Quarters. What a wonderful place. Full of mind puzzling pictures and tricks. There were plenty of photo opportunities to make yourself seem smaller and bigger, games to play and mind puzzling objects to see. After this we went into an upside down house where you could have photos taken upside down to fool your friends with later. The final part was a secret mirror maze. You had to keep your wits about you as you made your way through trying to find out which was the way to the exit. Quirky Quarters really looked after us with refreshments and there were plenty of staff on hand to help explain the different exhibits.
Certainly a day to remember!
