On Tuesday 28 October, our little adventurers had an unforgettable day at Bewilderwood, Cheshire, celebrating the spooky season with their special Halloween event! 🍂👻
The day kicked off with plenty of fun and laughter as the children enjoyed the park, slides, and zip wire 🛝✨. Shouts of “Weeeeeee!” and “Again, again!” echoed through the trees as everyone embraced the woodland adventures.
Next, it was time for the much-anticipated Twig & Treat trail. Children knocked on doors and met a host of magical characters – Swampy, Mildred, Minty, Snagglefang, Hazel the Good Witch, and Pip-Pip 🐿️🧹🦊. There were lots of giggles and squeals as one little adventurer whispered, “I think Snagglefang’s hiding behind that tree!” 😄
Solving clues and collecting treats was a thrill… until Snagglefang decided to eat all the sweets! 😱🍬 “Oh no! He’s eaten them all!” exclaimed one child, but everyone soon laughed and carried on, determined to finish the trail. At the end, each adventurer proudly claimed their well-earned prize 🏆.
As the sun began to set, the woodland transformed for the Halloween Light Trail 🌟✨. Twinkling lights guided the way through the trees, casting eerie shadows 👀 and illuminating glowing pumpkins 🎃 and magical displays. Children gasped in delight: “It’s like walking through a fairy-tale… but spooky!” 🌙🦇. The trail was a perfect mix of enchantment and Halloween fun, leaving everyone wide-eyed with wonder.
Finally, no trip to Bewilderwood is complete without a visit to the gift shop 🛍️, where little treasures and souvenirs added the finishing touch to a truly magical day. One young visitor proudly said, “I’m taking a bit of Bewilderwood home with me!” 💛
