On Tuesday 29th October, adventurers of all ages gathered for an unforgettable, spooky outdoor experience with a twist! “Put Your Wellies On for a Spooky Welly Walk” was the perfect blend of mystery, nature, and Halloween fun—set against the backdrop of a crisp, autumn day and the towering trees.
The Mystery Unfolds
Participants put on their best walking boots and set off through the woods, following a carefully marked trail that led them through hidden corners and overgrown pathways. But this was no ordinary woodland walk—this was a murder mystery waiting to be solved!
The year was 1958, and the infamous local farmer, John Jack Rainford, had been found dead in the woods under mysterious circumstances. Was it a crime of passion, or something more sinister? Armed with only a few cryptic clues, participants became detectives for the day, piecing together fragments of evidence scattered throughout the trail.
As they walked, they encountered a variety of suspects—from disgruntled farmhands to a mysterious traveler who had been seen around town before the murder. Each station along the trail revealed more clues, but only the sharpest minds could connect the dots and determine both who the killer was and the weapon used in the crime.
Families, friends, and solo adventurers worked together to solve the case. The air was filled with excitement as teams debated suspects and examined the evidence. The perfect mix of spooky atmosphere, interactive mystery, and the thrill of discovery made this event truly special.
Pumpkin Picking Fun
