What an adventure we had in the Fairy Forest! Despite the very wet and windy weather, our families truly embraced the festive spirit and turned a blustery day into a magical Christmas memory.
Our story began with a bit of Christmas chaos… Oh no no no! Our forest elf had crashed Santa’s sleigh, scattering presents and candy canes all through the woodland. The children jumped straight into action, first working together to build a cosy tent for Santa so he’d have somewhere warm to arrive later on.
Once the tent was ready, it was time for the big mission. Armed with sharp eyes and lots of enthusiasm, the children set off into the forest to hunt for the missing presents and candy canes. Every discovery was met with excitement, and teamwork was everywhere as everyone helped to recover Santa’s lost treasures.
When we returned to camp, there was a very special surprise waiting for us – Santa had arrived! Each child had the chance to visit him in the tent, sharing smiles, excitement and Christmas cheer. While Santa visits were happening, the rest of the group gathered around the fire to cook sausages, toast marshmallows and pop popcorn, filling the woodland with warmth and delicious smells.
Hot chocolates, tea and coffee helped keep the chill away, and despite the rain and wind, there was plenty of laughter as children relaxed on the hammocks and enjoyed free play around the campfire. It was one of those days where the weather might not have been perfect, but the atmosphere absolutely was.
Thank you to all our families for coming prepared, getting stuck in, and making the most of the conditions. Your positivity and enthusiasm turned a soggy winter’s day into a truly magical Christmas adventure. We hope you went home with muddy boots, warm hearts, and lots of festive memories to share. 🎅🌲❤️
