Our visit to Lumb Brook Wood today was filled with creativity, adventure, and plenty of outdoor fun. The children started the day with an exciting walk through the stream to reach our woodland base camp, adding to the sense of adventure right from the beginning.
Once settled, we explored the theme of outdoor art, using the forest itself as inspiration. With mud, sticks, and natural treasures found along the way, the children created their own imaginative woodland artworks. It was lovely to see their teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity shine through in such a natural setting.
Of course, no forest adventure would be complete without gathering around the fire. Sausages cooked over the flames and marshmallows toasted to perfection made the perfect reward after a busy day of exploring and creating.
It was a fantastic day outdoors, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and magical woodland moments!
