What a wonderful day we had! We were provided with a bus that picked us up from St Helens and took us to the Storybarn at Calderstones Park in Liverpool. We were met by the wonderful staff and welcomed in and were shown around.
We spent the first part of the morning doing arts and crafts downstairs. There were three tables setup with drawing, playdoh and painting for us to investigate and play with. The second half of the morning, we then went out into the park to read a story around the Allerton oak and then to play the game grandma’s footsteps. We then stopped to enjoy some lunch and delicious ice cream. In the afternoon, we went upstairs into the wonderful story space. A beautifully spacious and well decorated room where the children could explore the different areas, sing songs, play with bubbles and then we had another two stories.
The whole day from start to finish was excellent and we cannot wait to see if we can return again.
