Santa Special

One of our favourite and most popular events of the year. Each year we fill one of the East Lancashire Railways Santa Specials and start the Christmas season off with a bang. There are activities to do on the platform and the whole station is decorated beautifully. It’s all aboard the train where we were given mince pies and chocolates and a nice sherry for the grown ups. We were entertained by magicians and a brass band and of course the one and only father Christmas came down the train to deliver presents to all the children. The weather was cold and crisp with beautiful skies. I think we all agree it was a wonderful day.
