On Sunday 26 April 2026, our incredible team of volunteers quite literally took fundraising to new heights as they completed our Friends charity skydive πͺ
After weeks of preparation, fundraising and (letβs be honest!) a few nerves along the way, 14 amazing individuals took the leap β all in support of our families.
π A day to remember
The weather couldnβt have been more perfect. With clear blue skies and sunshine all day, conditions were ideal β although that didnβt make stepping out of a plane any less daunting!
Many of our group chose to take on the ultimate challenge, jumping from 15,000ft β the highest skydive available in the UK.
For most, this was their first ever skydive, bringing a mix of excitement, adrenaline and a few very nervous smiles before take-off.
But one by one, every single person did it. And what an achievement that is.
π Our incredible team
We are so proud of every single person who took part. Taking on something like this is no small thing, and they did it to help make a difference to families in our community.
π° Making a real difference
So far, the team have raised an incredible:
π Β£5,730 π
β¦and we still have cash donations to collect!
Every penny raised will go towards supporting our summer activities for families of children and young people with SEND, helping to provide inclusive experiences, reduce isolation and create lasting memories.
π Thank you
Weβd like to say a huge thank you to:
- our amazing skydivers for their bravery
- everyone who has donated and supported
- and Black Knights Parachute Centre for making the day such a fantastic and memorable experience
π You can still support

This was more than just a skydive β it was a reminder of what can be achieved when people come together to support one another.
Thank you for being part of it π
