Commando Run at Leigh Leisure Centre – A Sunday of Fun and Laughter!

This past Sunday, Leigh Leisure Centre was transformed into a hub of laughter, splashes, and adventure for a very special private event. Friends – Play for Disabled Children took over the pool for their exclusive Commando Run, funded by The Skelton Trust, and what a blast it was!

Children tackled a giant inflatable course stretched across the pool, testing their balance, agility, and bravery. Life guards joined in the fun, playfully splashing and throwing water at the participants, adding an extra layer of giggles and excitement. Many fell off along the way, but it was all part of the fun, and the smiles never stopped.

For those who made it to the end of the course, a giant slide offered a thrilling finale to an action-packed journey across the water. The relaxed Sunday atmosphere meant everyone could enjoy the event at their own pace, making it perfect for all abilities.

A huge thank you to all the staff at Leigh Leisure Centre for helping make this a safe, fun, and memorable afternoon for the children and their families. Events like this, supported by The Skelton Trust, show just how much joy can come from a bit of water, laughter, and adventure!
