What a magical day we had! A total of 104 of us climbed aboard the beautifully decorated Polar Express train at Churnet Valley Railway for a truly festive experience.
From the moment we stepped on board, the Christmas spirit was in full swing. Dancing waiters entertained everyone as they delivered hot chocolates and biscuits, filling the carriages with excitement and laughter. Soon after, the Conductor made his way through the train, carefully punching letters into our golden tickets—a special keepsake for all.
We then settled in to enjoy a live reading of The Polar Express story, bringing the magic of the book to life. As the train continued its journey, we had a very special visit from Santa, who greeted each guest and presented the First Gift of Christmas—a shining Christmas bell.
It was a wonderful festive outing on a beautifully decorated train, made even more special by travelling behind a real steam engine. A truly memorable experience for all who joined us! 🎅✨
