Our families recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at Delamere Forest, spending quality time together while exploring the wonderful Gruffalo Trail and Room on the Broom Trail.
The forest was the perfect setting for a day of adventure, with families following the woodland trails, spotting familiar storybook characters, and taking in the beautiful surroundings. The Gruffalo Trail brought Julia Donaldson’s much-loved story to life, with children excitedly searching for the Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake, and, of course, the Gruffalo himself. The Room on the Broom Trail was just as magical, encouraging little explorers to discover characters from another favourite story as they wandered through the trees.
It was lovely to see children using their imaginations, building confidence, and enjoying the outdoors alongside their families. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and opportunities for families to connect with one another while creating special memories together.
Days like these remind us how important it is to spend time outdoors. Exploring nature, getting active, and sharing experiences can make a real difference to wellbeing, and it was wonderful to see everyone embracing the adventure.
