Looking Back at Our First LEGO Club Half Term at Fuel Community Café

This half term, we were excited to launch our brand new LEGO Club at Fuel Community Café — and it was fantastic to see so many families and young people getting involved.

The club was created to provide a relaxed, welcoming space where children and young people could enjoy building, creating, and connecting with others through LEGO play. Across the half term, we saw plenty of imagination, teamwork, and creativity at every session.

Each week featured two LEGO activity tables:

🧩 Structured Build Table
Children and young people could take part in themed LEGO challenges and guided tasks, helping to encourage problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration.

🏗 Free Build Table
The free build area gave everyone the chance to let their imaginations run wild, creating everything from vehicles and buildings to completely unique inventions.

One of the best parts of the sessions was seeing children move confidently between the two tables, building at their own pace and enjoying the freedom to explore different activities in a supportive environment.

Sessions for Different Age Groups

During this half term, LEGO Club ran as two separate sessions to make sure activities were suitable and enjoyable for everyone:

👶 Ages 0–11

Our younger session gave children and families the opportunity to enjoy creative play together, build confidence, and make new friendships.

🧑 Ages 12+

The older group enjoyed a more independent and social space where they could take on creative challenges, collaborate with others, and relax in a welcoming environment.

It has been wonderful to see LEGO Club become such a positive part of the community at Fuel Community Café, and we’re looking forward to building on its success in future sessions.
