This week we hosted not one, but two fantastic themed sessions at The Inversion Loft — and what a brilliant couple of afternoons they were.
From neon lights and glitter to dinosaurs and dragons, our families enjoyed the perfect mix of movement, creativity and connection.
🎤 K-POP / Disco Craft Party
Our K-POP / Disco session was full of energy from the very start. Children spent an hour exploring aerial hammock and hoop, building strength, coordination and confidence in a supportive environment where everyone could move at their own pace.
The second half of the session transformed into a creative hub of:
- Bracelet and keyring making
- Arts and colouring activities
- Glitter face designs
There was music, sparkle and so many proud smiles as children showed off their creations — and even bigger smiles when they mastered a new move in the hoop.
For some of our children, trying something new can feel overwhelming. But with the right support and a relaxed atmosphere, we saw children challenge themselves, take safe risks and celebrate their achievements.
🦖 Dinosaurs & Dragons Party
A few days later, The Inversion Loft became a prehistoric playground.
Our Dinosaurs & Dragons session again combined one hour of aerial hammock and hoop with one hour of themed crafts — this time including:
- Dinosaur mask decorating
- Colouring and creative activities
- Keyring making
Watching children step into character with their decorated dinosaur masks while also learning new aerial skills was such a joy. There was laughter, imagination and plenty of roaring!
Why Sessions Like This Matter
These sessions are about far more than fun themes (although the themes definitely help!).
They provide:
💜 Safe, inclusive spaces for children with SEND
💙 Opportunities to build physical strength and coordination
💚 Creative outlets for self-expression
🧡 Social connection for families who often feel isolated
For many of our families, mainstream activities simply aren’t accessible. By working with venues like The Inversion Loft, we’re able to offer something different — something adapted, understanding and welcoming.
And perhaps most importantly, these sessions allow children to feel successful.
Not rushed.
Not judged.
Not compared.
Just celebrated.
We’re so grateful to the instructors and volunteers who make these sessions possible — and to the families who continue to show up, support one another and fill the room with such warmth.
We can’t wait to do it all again.
