This Bank Holiday Monday may have brought a chill in the air, but that didn’t stop the magic from unfolding as we took 15 children to the Storybarn Family Fun Day at Calderstones Park.
Set inside the beautiful grounds of the park, the day was all about imagination, exploration, and discovering the joy of stories. Guided by the wonderful Storyhunters, our group set off on a tree-rambling adventure that brought books to life in the most creative and engaging ways. Despite the chilly weather, spirits were high and curiosity even higher!
The children loved dressing up, pretending to fly away in the Storybarn hot air balloon, and immersing themselves in the world of storytelling. There was plenty of time to explore, play, and share giggles along the way.
We enjoyed a cosy lunch together, and of course, no day out is complete without a treat to finish—ice cream all round!
The event was beautifully designed to nurture a love of books and encourage every child to express themselves through imagination and play. Whether indoors or out in the park, it was a joyful, inclusive day that reminded us all how powerful and fun stories can be.
A big thank you to The Reader team for such a magical experience—and to our families for braving the weather and bringing the sunshine in their smiles!
