Our recent SEN roller skating session was a fantastic evening filled with fun, music, lights and, most importantly, plenty of smiles. Bringing together families, friends and skaters of all abilities, the session provided a welcoming space where everyone could enjoy the rink in a way that felt comfortable and enjoyable for them.
Suitable for both beginners and confident skaters alike, the evening saw participants building confidence, learning new skills and simply having fun. Whether it was someone’s first time on skates or they were already confidently making their way around the rink, every achievement was celebrated and every skater was encouraged.
As a dedicated SEN session, the event was reserved exclusively for our SEN community and their families, allowing us to create an environment tailored to their needs. To help make the experience as accessible and comfortable as possible, the lights were kept brighter than during regular sessions and the music was played at a lower volume, creating a relaxed atmosphere while still keeping the energy and excitement of a roller skating night.
One of the most heartwarming parts of the evening was seeing families enjoying quality time together. Parents, carers, siblings and friends shared the experience both on and off the rink, supporting one another, celebrating successes and creating memories that will last long after the session ended.
Seeing confidence grow with every lap, hearing laughter around the rink and watching friendships develop reminded us exactly why these sessions are so important. They provide a space where everyone feels welcomed, included and able to participate at their own pace.

With only a couple of sessions remaining before the venue closes its doors, these evenings feel more precious than ever. We are determined to make the most of every remaining session, celebrating the friendships, confidence, laughter and memories that have been created here over the years.
