On Friday, our families enjoyed a truly magical group visit to the Hayloft, where the festive season came to life in the most enchanting way. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this experience had been thoughtfully designed to spark joy, wonder, and plenty of smiles for children of all ages and abilities.
The day began in the elves’ enchanting workshop, where children eagerly took part in making their very own magical reindeer food — carefully mixed and ready to sprinkle on Christmas Eve to help guide Santa’s reindeer. This hands-on activity was a real highlight, offering a calm, creative space where children could take part at their own pace.
Families then hopped aboard the charming Christmas miniature railway. The festive train ride through the winter setting was full of excitement, with lots of waving, laughter, and wide-eyed anticipation — especially as the journey led us closer to Santa’s grotto.
Inside the grotto, children were welcomed into a cosy, magical space where Santa shared a festive story before spending time with each child. Every child received a gift, making the experience feel personal, thoughtful, and truly special. The relaxed atmosphere allowed families to enjoy the moment without feeling rushed, which was particularly appreciated by our SEND families.
As the event took place outdoors (with undercover areas), families wrapped up warm and embraced the wintry weather, adding to the authentic Christmas feel of the day. Despite the chilly air, spirits were high throughout, and it was lovely to see families sharing such joyful moments together.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Hayloft team for creating such a welcoming, inclusive, and magical experience. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the season together and create lasting Christmas memories for our families.
