Today we enjoyed a truly magical festive day out at Farmer Ted’s in Ormskirk, taking part in their enchanting Farmer Christmas Walking Adventure. This special trip was organised for families with Friends – Play for Disabled Children, bringing everyone together for a joyful and inclusive Christmas experience. From the moment we arrived, the farm was bursting with Christmas cheer, twinkling lights, and plenty of heart-warming activities for all.
✨ Winter Wonderland
Our adventure began in the beautiful Winter Wonderland, where sparkling decorations and cosy Christmas scenes set the perfect festive mood. Wrapped up warm, families wandered through the wonderland, creating special memories to treasure for years to come.
🎅 Meet Father Christmas
One of the highlights of the day was stepping inside Santa’s charming Christmas cabin. With the glow of the warm fire beside him, Father Christmas greeted children with warmth and festive joy, making the experience truly unforgettable.
🍬 Candy Cane Lane
We then strolled down the magical Candy Cane Lane, Farmer Ted’s very own elf high street! With festive fun happening at every corner, it was a joy-filled stop for visitors of all ages.
🦌 Reindeer Food Factory
Children had the chance to step into Santa’s Reindeer Food Factory, where they created their very own special reindeer food—perfect for sprinkling on Christmas Eve to help guide the sleigh!
🍪 Gingerbread Decorating
No Christmas adventure is complete without some sweet treats! Little ones enjoyed decorating their own gingerbread men, bringing festive creativity (and a bit of icing!) to life.
🛠️ Elf Workshop
The magical Elf Workshop gave families a behind-the-scenes look at where the elves craft Christmas toys and enjoy a well-earned rest. A wonderful, immersive stop full of festive charm.
🦌 Meet Santa’s Reindeer
We were thrilled to meet Santa’s very own reindeer, lovingly cared for by the Farmer Ted’s team. Visitors were captivated by the opportunity to see these magical creatures up close before their big Christmas Eve journey.
🎭 Reindeer & Donkey Show
Along Candy Cane Lane, families were treated to the animated Reindeer and Donkey Show, adding laughter and wonder to the day’s festivities.
🎶 Elfis and The Snowflakes
Our visit wrapped up with toe-tapping tunes from Elfis and the Snowflakes, the farm’s much-loved festive trio. Their performance had everyone singing and dancing along—Elfis definitely hasn’t left the building!
